There may be a plug nut on top some where that you remove and stick your little finger in , the fluid level should be at the top of this hole . They are sealed units and shouldn't need any maintenance after only one year . Your experience may differ .

Most newer transmissions are drained via a drain plug and filled via a fill plug, both are located on the bottom and side of the transmission and accessed from below the vehicle. There is a special procedure in filling requiring a pump and having the transmission at a certain temp. warm but not hot. Have your local dealer check it for you. Like Chevy suggested , you shouldn't have to worry about it yet, and your vehicle is still under warranty in most cases.
