2009 Saturn VUE Starter issue

The battery is new a month old. Connections are good. Maybe the grounding for the fuel pump, I'll check that next.

I checked the ground wire for the fuel pump and cleaned off the rust. Vehicle started fine three times. I drove it for about an hour and parked it in the driveway. I immediately try starting it no problem, but when I tried a second time ten mins later same issue would not start. I plan to try starting it every half hour to get an idea how long it takes to reset. I'll probably try to duplicate the hour drive time tomorrow and see if it fails to start again, in Hopes of finding a pattern.

Update I was able to duplicate the statement from yesterday. The vehicle started just fine the next morning. I drove it for 35 mins and parked in the driveway. Tried to start after one minute started fine, waited another five mins and it would not start. I have waited three hours so far and the vehicle will not start.

Update so I have discovered that the vehicle has to sit about five hours before it will start again. That will probably change depending on air temp, it was in the 30's the laat two days.

Update after a week in the shop they came up with the idea to change out the fuse box. Two days later so far so far so good. I'll update again if it fails to start over the next week.
