They will always blow to create air flow from front to rear, towards engine. I had a similar question yesterday.. Look at the blades-- and the pitch of blades--whatever direction it needs to spin to blow from front toward engine.
An example, trying to explain, if this fan was turning clockwise from the direction you are looking at it, it will be blowing air right AT you
