replaced camshaft sensor connector on hyundai 2000 2.4L. new pigtail has 3 black wires and engine has 2 black and 1 brown wire. what is the proper connection

Ok if I understand you correctly you are replacing the connector. Does new connector itself look like the old one? if so Hold both connectors in your hand the same way. Using old connector as a pattern and hook up new one one wire at a time so that the wires from old connector are hooked to the same pin on new connector as they were on the old one.
