2013 ford ranger 2.2 manual gearbox problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was driving my 2013 Ford Ranger 2.2 manual and
it came out of gear as I was driving, pulled in and
no way it would select a gear ,put it into 4wd high
box and it selected gears so switch to 2wd and
drove away good again, it did it again following
day and I did same thing but no luck with 4wd
high box so switched to low box and it selected
gear ,but now I can't get it out of 4wd low box.
Appreciate any help please

Sounds like it’s time for a transmission overhaul. Better have the transfer case overhauled while the transmission is out. It already maybe too late to save the transfer case shift motor as it sounds like it is stuck. You can try jacking up and putting Jack stands under all four wheels then have someone switch it into 2WD while you lightly tap on the transfer case shift motor, sometime this will shock it enough to work just one more time with all the loads removed as you have it off the ground.
