i have no reverise

the car rums good but i have no reverse,i read some were that it could be the reverse band /but were is the reverse band?and quest #2 does a 1992 lexus have the same transmission as a 1990?

I owned a 1990, and Im 99.9% sure that all LS400s have the same tranny. Im not sure how ever, but my guess for the reverse could be the computer. The whole transmission is controlled by a computer, so maybe that is what is messing up. But, again, that is just a guess.
