What could possibly be wrong if I keep hearing as if a window is partly opened. The vents are all closed

Asked by Eileen Feb 28, 2017 at 08:00 PM

Question type: General

The noise sounds like when the air or heat is turned up all the way.  I believe a luxury vehicle should sound quiet.  I am not feeling any air and I have checked and rechecked that all the windows are properly closed and also the sunroof.

Have a passenger listen while you drive to pin point the noise source. Diagnosing noises over the internet is nearly impossible.

it is a 2013 with 57,000 miles. It was sounding perfect and it was taken in to have the tire sensor replaced. The next day I turned it on and then I heard the sound when I drove a little distance.

Do a visual inspection on all the weather strips. Maybe something was pushed out of place.

Step out of the car and push the door frame by the window and see if u see it move in, the locking latch might need to be adjusted or someone might've forced the door to try to unlock it and doesn't seal anymore

I did try pushing the door frame as suggested but nothing moved so I have ruled that out. This was a very good suggestion. Thank you.
