Lexus 350 computer/battery problems

My Lexus 350 just died at a stop light. I got it
started after a few tries but it was not running right
and showed all kinds of warnings like trac off,  
check brakes, awd system problems, check engine
light and brake lights on. These codes would
change every time I shut the car off and turned it on
again.  Car was running ok and I got home. When I
checked under the hood I noticed some corrosion
on battery plus what was probably salt residue from
winter driving. I cleaned it off and all the problems
went away.  Any else ever heard of this!

Yup, corroded battery terminals cause many troubles. The corrosion is caused by a slightly loose battery post. This allows small amounts of sulfuric acid vapor to vent from the battery and get onto the cable end causing the corrosion. Just keep the cable connections clean and tight. Also for a couple of bucks you can get battery pads that go around the post and underneath the cable ends that give some protection from this problem. If the corrosion comes right back and is severe and the battery post pads don't help, consider a new battery.
