Old vintage engines might have followed that procedure, but the last decade or more NO, call The Porsche dealer ask them, Don't trust most people? some? none? anyone? people make outrageous claims about oil and "brands" your only 3 clicks away from Youtube, and a Porsche snake oil story. Its not based only on mileage, also time since the last change. It will mention the time and mileage intervals between oil changes in your user manual. I always change my Porsche's oil every 5k miles or 12 months, depending which comes first.
