1989 Chevrolet Camaro - computer

My engine stutters when I take off. I was having difficulty with engine overheating and by bypassing the computer the fan is running and keeping the temp normal. Is the computer going bad? And is there only one computer for the car?

no 1 computer maby tune up bad throtle position sencer or just a cloged fuel filter

There may be several computers depending on options. You will need the number for your PCM to compare with what you might buy from a junkyard.
