I have the ecm but no body harness the last guy took it out because he had a carbureted 350 in it so I can't find any diagrams to help me so I need body to engine harness don't really care about unnecessary censors as long as it runs and goes

If your 1988 Camaro was tbi or tpi injected and the 92 caprice is LT1 you will need just the engine harness and ECU. The 92 wiring harness will have wiring for the transmission as well. Your 1988 transmission was non electronic. You can run it but the check engine light will stay on and you wont have lockup on your trans. You can always just put all of your fuel system parts on the 1992 engine and then you will be plug and play.

I put the 350 turbo trans on it I need to know how to hookup the ecm to ignition to power it up when the key is turned like power and ground I don't know if I have to run it from fuse box or from ignition itself

There are quite a few individual power and ground wires that need to be connected Some to fused battery power some to fused ignition But You should never hook anything directly to the battery. Even for testing. Unless you are a really big fan of fire. Which harness/ecu are you using tpi tbi or lt1? I will try to help identify all of the power and ground terminal locations.
