There were 49,585 IROCs produced in 1986. Of these, 23,205 had T-Tops.

Easy to answer NONE. Chevrolet did allow 50 IROCs out the door with the 220HP L98 350 TPI, but word has it, it wasn't for production release. Beware when somebody sells an 86 IROC-Z with a stock 350 TPI engine. CHECK THE VIN for accuracy.

You're all wrong. I worked at a Chevrolet Dealership in High Point NC (Lyles Chevrolet-Rolls Royce/Bently- Amc Jeep-Renault) from 1983 though 2003 where my friend and boss George (Skip) Lyles bought a 1990 IROC-Z, automatic with 3:23 limited slip, 5.7 liter tuned port injection, and what set it apart from the other 27 1990 IROC-Z's was it was the only ONE with T-Tops! I PDI'd (pre delivery inspection) this car and I noticed the new/inproved dash and emblems. Skip wanted it to run better than the others too so he asked me what would make it faster and not lessen the warranty, so I suggested SLP Engineering. SLP was sold though the dealer parts department so I installed SLP's tuned port larger runners, stainless steel headers, exhaust system with dual left side pipes, and a new memcal with new emissions decal and exemption and 93+ octaine sticker. Skip enjoyed his IROC-Z for a while and someone wanted it more, so this limited IROC-Z is still somewhere, no telling where?

You're mostly all wrong. I worked at a Chevrolet dealership in High Point NC, Lyles Chevrolet-Rolls Royce/Bently- AMC Jeep-Renault, from 1983 to 2003. My friend and boss George (Skip) Lyles III purchased a 1990 IROC-Z automatic, 5.7 liter, 3:23 limited slip, but what makes this one unique is it was the only one with T-Tops. I PDI'd (pre-delivery inspection) this IROC and noticed the updated dash, interior, and emblems. Skip wanted his IROC-Z to be faster than others and asked me what could be done, I suggested to use SLP Engineering since their parts wouldn't affect the warranty and were available in the dealership parts department with GM part numbers. I installed the tuned port runners with SLP larger runners, stainless steel headers, full length exhaust with dual outlets on the drivers side, and a new memcal chip with new emissions decal and emissions exemption and 93+ octane decals. With this one of 28 IROC-Z 5.7 liter T-Top Skip drove it for a while and someone else really wanted it so.....it's somewhere out there, hopefully giving someone else a great ride. And now the answer above that I still have the original tuned port runners and exhaust manifolds with AIR pipes!
