The top will not go back up after batterie went dead

ensure that the battery is fully charged and check all fuses If you attempted to force the top closed then it may be slightly out of alignment a swell- give it a bit of a tug/push and see what happens

also if the top is on hydrolics, check there is no air lock and that the fluid levels are topped up

If this is an 07, the owners manual is for crap. Roll up the windows. Start the car and apply emergency brake. Now pus the top up button. The windows should cycle down and the top should raise.
