Valuation criteria for dealer vs private party listings

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

Was going to list my car. Exact car was listed from a dealer for $18,500
and.was a Good deal.  I was listing mine for $17,500 and it stayed it was a fair
deal.  What’s up?
