speedometer on ls400 (december)1999

i owed ls400 1999 right hand drive (JT753UF2000171839) ,and noticed that on my
speedometer has not engine symbol , in user manual engine symbol should be between
trc and vcs symbol , but on my speedo , trc symbol close to vcs symbol. no engine
symbol , is it uncommon? thank you in advance.

ืno, not at all on my speedometer, when the ignition key in the LOCK position i can dimly seen all symbol except engine symbol .
