Drive and reverse light are both on

Asked by Guru5DM44 Dec 23, 2017 at 01:00 AM about the 1993 Lexus LS 400 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tried heading to work yesterday morning, and my reverse
light stayed on, whether I'm in park or any other setting.
It's stays dim, but brightens to full strength when I touch
the brake or put it in Reverse.
And I can't get it to shift into 2nd or drive. It now only has
3 speeds: park, reverse and first.

I would look at the reverse/back-up light switch that should be on the transmission.
