Why are the sensors up on my front bumper of my 2004 Lexus ls430?

I would guess that they are your parking sensors. Do you have a warning light?

If they are round and painted the same color as the bumper they are front parking assist sensors. Just like the ones you find on the rear bumpers of a lot of vehicles. The front ones will only beep at you when you are goin forward very slow like into a parking stall or garage so you don't bump into anything in front of you.
