belt at 90k is when the manufacturer says to do it per standard maintenance. It's part of the 90k service actually

I just bought a nice Lexus RX 300 for $750 from an employee at a local auto dealer. He said he didn’t know of it needing any service but I paid $350 to have his shop give me a laundry list. They found $2,500 in urgent repairs but said nothing about the timing belt. I took it to my trusted small owner repair shop and they said the most urgent need is the loud clicking of the timing belt that needs replacement. I expect I was deliberately snowed by my dealership as I could have spent $2,500 on brakes and tires only to have my engine melt down if the timing belt blew. I don’t think the guy who sold it to me knew but I do think his dealer shop should have figured it out after a 90 minute “used car analysis.” Anyone have thoughts? I don’t like to think I get snowed because I’m a woman. I hope they would rip off men too lol. Thoughts?
