Does anyone know the whereabouts of our 1969 Corvette?

Asked by Kitten May 22, 2011 at 12:26 AM about the 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible

Question type: General

I am looking for our 1969 orange Corvette convertible VIN194679S707086.  We bought it used in 1970 in Marion, Indiana after my husband came home from Viet Nam.  We moved to New Mexico and sold it in 1977 to buy some land.  I was able to trace the title to 1989 where the title was salvaged.  I suspect it was wrecked, but It is our hope that someone bought it and fixed it up.

Likely gone if salvaged, but you could try posting at the C3 Registry (http://www.c3registry.org/index.php?uid=4289), the Corvette Forum (http://www.c3registry.org/index.php?uid=4289), or the Corvette Action Center (http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/1968-1982-corvettes/) and ask if anyone there knows anything. There is likely an active investigator there who can find the history, for a fee.
