Rear Power door sensor button problems

Asked by Almas Jul 30, 2019 at 07:58 AM about the 2012 Lexus RX 350 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My cars trunk is opening and closing from
the trunk button on the key. It will also close
from the button located inside the trunk. But
it won’t automatically open with the sensor
touch button on the outside of the power
door.  The car was recently worked on and
the battery was apart but nothing else was
done to the trunk of the car. Pleaseeeee help!

I am having the same problem. Touching the rear button unlatches the rear hatch, but does not automatically raise it, The key FOB button will open and raise the hatch. Is there a solution?
