On a 2008 RX 350 AWD is the heated seat light always on?

I recently bought a 2008 RX 350 AWD. I noticed the heated seat lights are
always on & seats are heating up when started. I can turn the dial down for less
heat, but not off? Have tried to push in & out & turn the dials both ways...but
they stay on. Please help.
