How much oil do I put in my RX350?

Hi RX350! From what I can see it should be 6.5 quarts. If you check your owners manual it should have a oil capacity figure as well. The final authority is the dipstick. Start with what the manual says and then check the dipstick. Check the dipstick again when the engine is warm. Good luck!

I took the RX350 to the dealer who serviced it. The service agent said that it was engine oil...the technician did not tighten the drain plug correctly and hence the oil leaked. They have fixed it now. And they will also be giving me a complimentary 10,000 miles service since I had to return because of their fault. I did ask them if there was any engine damage because of the low oil level. They said there was none. Not sure whether to believe them or what I can do about this. Any ideas? Keep records of dates, times, mileage, who talked to, notes of conversations, and if you can, retain the old parts. I do not understand the comment that it was not tighten correctly. I hope they did not cross thread the male and female threads on the pan or the drain plug bolt. Drain plugs should be torqued. Did they forget to install the crush gasket?
Seems like a simple mistake on their end. It is also a crucial mistake. If your “low-oil” light (the only oil light besides service) turned on, there was most likely damage that occurred. If not, you caught it in time.... Just think, if they didn’t tighten the plug, gravity was able to pull the oil out of the car, that simple. If your engine doesn’t have oil to lubricate the pistons and valves, they will be rubbing against each other causing minute damage in the most crucial place for it to occur. Definitely make sure you have the name of the service agent, date and time, and confirm this with the manager of service and sales at the dealership. If the engine goes on that car, it is their fault.
Pippino15. Some of us whom are in their 70s don’t want want to do that any longer.
hence the creation of EV's where oil changes and stuff like that doesnt exist.
Let me guess Pipino, you voted for trump
Bone spurs Pipino, was too chicken hawk to admit it
