if you start with about 4qts of oil and then add the fifth quart slowly (checking the oil level as you go). Your looking for the point where the oil is in the normal range... Then start the car rev it to 2000rpm for about 10 seconds then check the oil again... It is normal if the oil level went down as the oil filter needs to fill... Add oil untill the dipstick reads normal and you should be done... It says roughly 5qts of oil OEM but you never get all of the old oil out and you definetally dont want too much oil... i would buy a 5qt big jug of oil and a small 1qt jug if your doing it yourself at home just in case you need a little more... make sure you check your oil after driving it awhile just to make sure... always do your final readings on as level a surface as possible... CHEERS!
