Why do some Vette owners remove the flip up headlights & replace them with non-flip up headlights that are further in the nose than before???

Does this only happen when the car has been in an accident or was it customized?

Could be the flip up motors break or get stuck and it's cheaper than fixing them.

It loooks ugly with the flip ups. Trust me I got rid of mine.

Also some like the smoother look, just like shaving the door handles on the older hot rods.

I'd rather have the traditional look rather than ruin what was already there & if the motors get stuck rebuild them or replace them or shave them off like that just doesn't have the feel for the vette as a whole if the flip up headlights aren't there. At least put some shields over the headlights so its not trapping air at least.

I agree I like the traditional Vette, they are perfection from the showroom floor. Or lot.
