where is the fuel pump located on a 1980 corvette

f it is a mechanical fuel pump, standing in from of the Corvette, it is on the left side (passenger side) of the engine in front just above the oil pan. You should see a fuel line leading into it, and another going up the side of the engine to the EFI system. On line you can expect to pay from $28 to $140. If you are running stock, use a GM part as it should be relyable and be enough to run the car. You may consider getting a Chevelle fuel pump. It is almost the same except half the price. The fuel line going out is different and safer as it leads the line directly away from the exhaust system. I learned nearly four decades ago, the Corvette parts cost more only because it is a Corvette.
