1995 ford taurus station wagon inside lights won't turn off

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My overhead, side door lights and cargo lights won't shut off after shutting the motor off. I've tried replacing the door jam switches, lights still stay on. Now, I have to disconnect the battery to shut them off and connect to start my car. HHEEELLLPPP!!

Tennisshoes could be on to something. Have you checked the rear hatch and hatch glass latches?
this is not a fix for the problem by any means but if you can live without the interior lights you can always pull the fuse untill you can figure out the problem saves disconnecting and reconnecting the battery every day if you live in the same climate as I its easier to do that untill you get a warm day. but the best places to look are the drivers door and rear hatch for the problem 9/10 those are the places that mess up first
Checked side door switches, all switches in good order. Checked around back hatch frame didn't see anything blocking it. Don't know where to locate back hatch switch if I need to replace it.
The sensor is located inside the latch itself try to spray the latch with lots of wd-40 to clean out any junk and the spray with white lithium grease (comes in a spray can like wd-40) if that fails last thing to change is the rear latch. But the wd-40 and some white grease should fix the problem.
