is there a check engine light on,it's probably no spark to plugs ignition control module?

computer failure? Older cars do not have the reliability on the ignition modules as the newer ones. Also is your battery good? If it is going bad, it will not have enough amps to run the module and it will shut down. first check and make sure all the wires are connected and in good condition. A broken wire costing a few dollars may be all that is wrong. Check if there is spark to the plugs. If not, have the module checked. I assume it is getting gas? Fuel pump bad, blockage in the lines or filter? Have fun.
