What is the difference in a 87 corvette and a 87 c4 corvette?

No difference 84 96 are c4
No difference, just different terms for the same car; C4 is the reference to all 84 to 96 models.
There is no difference in body style. 86 and 87 had cast blocks and in 87 1/2 they produced aluminum blocks. The 87 was the only year that the horns had both negative and positive terminal. I had to replace the "C" horn in an 87 and it costed $85 and every other horn from the 50's to the 90's was less than $30.

The Corvette generation is set up by groups all starting with "C" (C4 to currentlyC6) Soon to be a new class of C7 If your interested in knowing what years are included, just ask but in the spirit of keeping it short and simple here's the most popular you'll see on the road C3 this was the shark look but avg hp was lower than anyother yrs C4 keep in mind that although its in the same catagory almost every year there are changes made from slight to dramatic. C5 the first time corvette produced a drastic body change in the longest span of time C6 best way to tell the difference is the head lights are NOT pop up on C6. C
C1 - 1953 to 1962 (Solid Axle Vettes) C2 - 1963 to 1967 (New Sting Rays) C3 - 1968 to 1982 (Sharks) - No 1983 Production Model C4 - 1984 to 96 (Very Advanced and Slippery Sports Car) C5 - 1997 to 2004 (Even Sleeker and the Horsepower is Climbing) C6 - 2005 to 2013 (World Class Sports Car) C7 - 2014 to ?
