Toyota Camry brake and tail lights

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a 2007. By brake and tail lights would only
work when I manually turn on the headlights. They
will not work if the headlights are not on. So during
the day I'm running with my headlights on. Can
anyone tell me what's the problem. Its only on my
passagner side and I havr replaced both light covers
that have the wires attached to the back

Yes they are. Its works if I cut my lights on but not when they are off

Could just be you have daytime running lights, almost all cars do these days. The tail lights are not on during the day even with your daytime headlights on. This is mostly to do with people being able to look in their mirrors and see you coming. The auto on lights will cause all to come on at night.
