I'm having the same problem with my radio. It sat at the airport for a few days nd the radio is doing the same thing. Anybody have an answer?
Sorry it took me so long to reply back. I kept researching the subject and found if you pull the radio fuse from the fuse box, make sure it is the correct amperage as directed in your manual, mine was not correct, and disconnect the negative cable. let it sit for a few minutes. Reconnect the cable THEN put the fuse back in. This will prevent you from shorting out the radio, I think what it happening is the vehicle has some sort of automatic battery protection so it shuts everything done that either draws too much from the battery especially when sitting idle like yours did. Anyway, when you are traveling and need to charge a cell phone or some other object, make sure you don't leave chargers plugged in, this may have prevent it again. I am actually bringing my vehicle back in for a few recalls this week. I'll try and let you know what they tell me regarding the radio as I plan on bringing it to thier attention. this is the only remedy that I have found, thanks to whomever posted it on other sites...hope it works for you..kd
I have a 2013 wrangler sierra unlimited and recently had the radio screen freeze up could not do anything with it. I only removed the fuse waited about 15 seconds and reinstalled it. Everything seems to be working fine now! Jeep'n Jeff
