Catalytic converter in '16 Crosschek

Asked by GuruXY27D Oct 09, 2018 at 01:39 PM about the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek XV Touring AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On start up, when the car is cold, there is a noise that sounds like metal rubbing against metal.  When the engine is warm no problem.  My Subaru dealer says it is just the Catalytic converter heating up and considers it a none issue. I'm wondering if it's something that will continue to get worse.  My warranty ends soon so I'm looking for a better answer than that!
