I bought htis vehicle 3 weeks ago. There is a very small LCD lamp on the panel at the left of the steering column that does not appear in the owner's manual diagram. When I bought this car the klight was not on. Now it is. The mechanics don't know what it is for. It will be back in their shop Tuesday. What is the light for?

Well you said the mechanic, who was looking at it did not know what it was, post a pic we might be able to help figure it out.a small LED lamp dont tell us much.
I have a sick sense of humor. Thanks for the suggestion. Here's the pic. The mech. said it must have been installed by a previous owner, but the molding around it is solid. It's not in any of our manuals.
I do know its not factory, dont know what its for I would sugest removeing the pannel follow the wires see what it is hooked to,maybe a silent alarm?
Thanks! It is a post-manufacture installed alarm.
