front-left turn signal lamp not illuminating

'94 ford explorer, limited... so. all parts seem to be in working order, but i just cannot get the friggen front-left socket to receive power. i've checked the bulbs and fuses. i checked the bulb socket for corrosion and can't find any (... but i tried wiping the contacts anyway). the three wires that go to this fixture are frayed but they are still connected where the wire plastic is damaged. i still hear the clicking sound when it's activated while driving, and the rear-left turn signal still works normally. there are also no issues with the signals on the right side at either end of the vehicle. the hazard flashers work fine too, except for this one fixture. the white headlight above this fixture works fine as well, and it's power supply branches from the same bundle of cables that supplies the front-left turn signal. lol. whyyyyyyy isnt this thing working?? any help or suggestions would be tight. thank you for giving this a read!!
