Right rear turn signal not working in 05 Eddie Bauer edition ford explorer 4.0l 4x4

Rear right turn signal not flashing I cleaned
the contacts and replaced the bulb and there
are no blown fuses could it still be the turn
signal relay even though I can hear it
actuating please help this is a head
scratcher

Use a multimeter on the appropriate contacts inside the socket while the turn signal is activated. If there is no voltage, probe the wires directly behind the socket. If voltage is present, replace the socket. Also, check the ground wire, you could have a problem there.
