Hi.. I bought a 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition 4.0 sohc 4x4. It needs a
transmission. I am being told only one from an exact Explorer will fit. They are
saying the shift sensor in the OHV model is in a different location. Is this true?

True or not,I would always stay with what is meant to go into that vehicle.

well one from a ohv version is 250.00 and the only one I can find within 100 miles that has the sohc in it is 550.00 so it makes a big difference.
