The explorer doesn't have its own designated engine. The Same engine can be equipped in rangers and other rear wheel drive 2x4 and 4x4 vehicles. The right question to ask is the specific liter your engine is, and the trim package the explorer is so it can come ready with appropriate sensors and manifolds either installed or compatible for swap over to your new engine.
