bad gas mileage

my 94 5.0 mistang gt convertible is avraging 8 mpg
wtf some one cut out the mufflers and it's straight
pipes, it's got 165xxx miles on it still runs good
might need a time up just wondering why the hell
I'm getting only a hundred miles out of a full tank
any answers?
