Why won't my truck start

For the past year or so, I've had two 12inch
subs and a 1200 watt amp in my 1994 ford
ranger. Now why I put that in my truck, I
dont know ,but anyways, it was connected
directly to the battery (also bought a year
ago). Now i got a new car so i took all the
stuff out, but it won't start. If i jump the
truck it works fine. A little choppy in the
beginning, but once you get it running its
fine. The problem is, I have to keep jumping
it almost every day. Im trying to sell this
truck but Id like this problem taken care of
beforehand. If anyone has an idea, please
let me know! Thank you.

Battery is shot. Put a volt meter on it with the engine off. If less than 12.5 volts, replace it.

Reelin68- Will I need to get the truck running before I turn it off to check the battery? Or can i check it when its dead?
You will want to check the battery with the engine off.

If you want to jump it and let it run for a while, then shut the truck off and test the battery, that will be fine. That way if the battery tests low after the truck was running, you will know for sure that the battery is bad since the truck should have been charging it.
take the battery into parts store and have it tested, do the same with your alternator if battery is good! did you remove the wiring to the amp? make sure you didn't leave a wire exposed and shorting out to the body.
