A/C not blowing cold air.

Asked by Ethan Jul 18, 2018 at 12:13 AM about the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado LT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought my truck used and the ac compressor went
out. The dealership replaced the AC and everything
worked fine till about 3 weeks later it would only
blow cold when driving down the road. Now, it will
not blow at all. Freon is full I have no idea what it
could be.

"A/C works but only while driving down the road" tells me the cooling fan on the radiator and A/C condenser is not blowing air. Fan motor may be stuck/burnt out, bad fuse, bad relay, bad coolant thermal switch. But remember, overall A/C works better driving down the road because of more air flow at condenser and compressor is spinning faster. But still check out that fan. It should run 100% when A/C is on.
