Heater cuts off when van is cranked

Asked by Michael Oct 02, 2022 at 07:50 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Express Cargo 2500 Extended RWD

I replaced my ignition sprockets and
tumbler.with the key in the on position it works
fine but when I crank it it cuts off.

All of my vehicles do the same thing. Your radio cuts of also. It’s normal.

I believe when the starter is engaged all other circuits are off to give the starter max. amps .So that may be normal .
