Starter disabled. Car immobilized

Asked by GuruVW3JM Aug 11, 2018 at 11:58 AM about the 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LS FWD

Broke key in door lock. Door lock
removed to retrieve piece. Had New
transponder key cut. Tech was
unable to connect to cars system
to code new key. Car totally
immobilized. Please, any thoughts
will be appreciated. Thank you!
