the car basically runs well but sometimes dies while driving kinda sputters an has a miss in the engine before this happens hard to start also have to give it gas an keep giving it gas to keep it running

Hi sparks, It sounds like you either have a fuel delivery problem or timing issue. This could be a variety of items such as fuel pump failure, fuel filter clogged, regulator valve clogged, or injector failure/clog. You could also have a vacuum leak, sensor failure, or timing belt missing a tooth. Good luck!
I have a Monte Carlo SS. Yesterday I got gas for the gas station and maybe 20 mintues later my car started spitting and sputtering. It's stalls out and dies. We have had to keep giving it gas. When we stopped at the stop signs We had to keep one foot breakes and one foot on the gas pedal. But I have gotten gas from that store last month and it didn't do that. So do u all have any ideal what's wrong with it. Do u think it's water in the gas or something. Thanks for listening

What would be the problem if 2004 monte carlo keeps dieing when it's driving and turn back on after 15 minutes wait
