Loose distributor

I'm work on my 97 Chevy silverado has a 350 my
distributor is loose like its bolted in but it loose and
turn switch causing a misfire is there any way to fix
it without changing the distributor

On my 94 they used small bolts to hold down the dist. they rotted out and couldn't be removed , I smashed the dist. and drilled holes through the plate and used small bolts to hold down the new one , but yeah , it shouldn't move at all
