No start on my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3

Asked by Darren Jan 07, 2019 at 03:16 AM about the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm currently at 52 psi on the fuel rail, changed out
the Crank shaft positioning sensor and double
checked all the fuses. Cranks but It will not fire at
all even spraying starting fluid. Any ideas anyone?
Really need my truck to get back and forth to work.

Js08016 is correct, and if it has no spark, it could be crankshaft position sensor (which you already replaced), CAMshaft position sensor, or something in the distributor, or something more complicated.

If you have no spark check the "ignition Relay" and/or the IAC "idle air control" motor...If you have spark start with checking/cleaning the MAF "mass air flow sensor" and/or TPS "throttle position sensor" ...is your "check engine light" on? if so can you get it scanned for the codes?
