So i have a year 2000 chevy 1500 silverado and i have damage in the front end from a accident so my question today is can i take parts from a 96 front end to fix the trucks front?

My accident pushed in toward the radiator the fan and all
is destroyed my engine and all my mechanical parts are
barely pushed back nothings really busted besides
radiator for sure im taking her apart soon and i had an
idea why not take an older 1500 3 door from 1996 which
has a nice style i liked the 90s style and put her together
on my 2000 chevy silverado also 3 door

If you have the 1996 for parts and are not purchasing them then it would be worth wild checking out. I think you may find bolt holes in different locations but where there is a will there is a way.

What is your 4x 4 gear supose to be in,,,,is it ,2 wheel ,or neutral on the 4x4 shifter?
