Hey there! You may not want to hear this but i highly discourage people from putting lift kits on trucks. It changes the angle of the driveline and can cause vibrations when driving around or with a load in the truck bed or pulling a trailer. It also can cause excessive wear to the transfer case... u joints... and even rear axle. In other words... it can cause alot of issues that are very expensive. The only way to lift a truck up "correctly" is to wind up changing the angle of the engine... transmission... and transfer case so that the driveline doesnt bend more than 3 to 4ish degrees. Anyways hope this all helps!

Dont be discouraged. Max u-joint angle is 22 degrees. If lifting made every truck with 35s on it a huge turd, would people lift brand new trucks? Or would you still see 25+ year old lifted trucks? I'm a master ase tech that just so happens to drive a 2000 z71 with a 6 inch suspension lift. If you do it right, and then align it afterwards, it has no effect on dependability. I did have to use a 4 link, drop torsion member, new a arms, shocks, etc. Its by no means the cheapest way, but is the best way. For a limited budget, you can do 3 inches with torsion keys, lift blocks, and either new shocks, or shock extensions. You will have to also do a 3 inch body lift to get the 6 you want. But for a couple hundred dollars will be able to run larger tires. You will want to get something to cover the gaps between the frame and box by the rear wheels, and bumpers. I've done plenty like this, and they do ride a little rougher as it leads the torsion bars sooner, but isnt anything drastic. I wish you luck, and hope the guy that thinks u-joints can only flex 4 degrees hasnt discouraged you. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help you.
If you are using as daily driver a leveling kit would be ideal

I got a question, can you put a lift that is on a 2000 chevy onto a 2009 chevy? they are both 1500 but they are different body styles. The rear shocks look the same, so I can hopefully use the blocks in the rear and then get an adapter for the front shocks right?
