what kind of grease do i use for front driveshalf ujoints

I would use general purpose HD grease. Synthetic would be good. Frequency of greasing is more important than what you use.

I got the driveshaft out just cant get the u-joint out where I am have to go to a buddy's. Would it hurt to drive my truck without the front driveshaft??
