I have a 2000 chevy silverado ive recently replaced the heater core the brake switch beside the brake pedal bulbs and fuses but i have no break lights

If you have a hitch on it and pull a trailer I would look at the trailer wiring that been known to mess up brake lights like that

Does yours have a brake light/ hazard light relay? If so I would check that out.

Good catch offroadyota. I had the connection where the trailor lights harness (harness that hangs by bumper) plugs into the main truck harness (harness up under the truck bed) become loose once and cause a similar issue.

Yea well my old truck everytime you plugged the trailer lights in it would blow a fuse. I know he said he checked those so it's possible a wire is frayed or shorting out somewhere
