my 2000 Chevy Silverado 4x4 1500 died while running and won't start.

A couple of days before all of the time gauges on the instrument panel all went
berserk and started flashing while I was driving.

Sounds like a BCM failure. But the same symptoms can also be bad grounds. And there are a lot of them, remember it only takes one ground to mess things up electronically.
