I'm having a similar issue but it's the two inner lights. I can't figure out how or when they are supposed to come on
I hav an 02 Tahoe, same question... I replaced the amber turn signal bulbs, and noticed the 2 inner CLEAR bulbs, next to the amber ones, were burnt out... so I replaced them also. But they dont come on??? Are they supposed to be running lights or something?? On a switch, or on with the headlights?? Tha is for any help.

Brian, did you ever figure out what those two lights are for and did you ever get them working? I just bought a Chevy Silverado with the same two lights not working. Don't know what they are for either so if you have the info, would be appreciative if you passed it along.
They are Day time Running Lights and they come on when in gear
They are also connected to a Body Control Module.. I'm Having Problem With Mine Also This is What I Have Found Out So Far. Hope This Helps.

Booger357: you said it’s attached to a “Body control module”. Could you please inform me of the answer to how you got it to turn on in gear. I never noticed if it worked till I got replacement lights do to hazing. Bulbs are fine. But do you know if it’s a “single” wire bulb or two. Thought I had a issue with a light because it had two wires instead of on in the build itself. If that makes sense. Mine look to have been replaced and thought maybe it should be a single wire. The inner bulbs are the DRL's. Mine aren't working on my 2001 Silverado 2500HD because the lamp sockets are burnt out from the constant heat of the bulbs since they are on whenever the ignition is on and the truck is in gear. They're required in Canada, but not here in the USA. They're the next item on my repair list anyways..
